![]() ![]() GGG has given me countless hours of content, top notch storytelling, voice acting and music up there with the best and created a system that makes seasons worthwhile because of the shear number of builds i can get from a single starting class. Im sorry to say it but Diablo just isnt the king of arpgs anymore, that title goes to PoE. Ive put countless hours into Diablo 2, tons into D3, D2 Resurrected was fantastic and i still like to play through it. I have no urge to play anymore, i should be pumped to dive into seasons but its just not there. Once you level one Barb, youve leveled all Barbs, same goes for each class. I already know the best build for each class, in theory there should be at least a few but there aren’t multiple, each class has one serious endgame build with only minor differences if you tweak some of the passives. The skill tree and paragon boards are just too simplistic, there is no room for build variability to make seasons interesting outside of whatever bits of new story they add, starting over will just feel like a chore to get my character back to exactly where they were when i first beat Lilith. ![]() When i finished the story and realized that campaign bosses cant be fought again on a single character at a higher difficulty and that the end game content was a dull grind with no goal I just stopped playing even though my brain said i should be ready for more. ![]() I absolutely loved the art direction, story, open world, sound design and general feel of the game. ![]()
